The history of photography and film is inextricably linked to the advancement of science. The first photographs were taken in the 1920s, and attempts to create the film followed a little later. However, it was only after the discovery of modern cinema tape in the late 1980s that we got the first film that is more or less familiar to us today. Over the years, the process of making and designing films has constantly been  refined and developed. So it should come as no surprise that present and future film and photography are closely linked to PC and digital technology. The film archive from Hollywood to Bombay deals with the transfer of old films into digital form, which facilitates restoration, further preservation, but also improves the quality of films shown to a new generation of seven art lovers.
